I've been avoiding it for the past couple of months, but looking thru the stats of my page, there are people who are still reading the page to know more about CDH, our experience in Makati Med, etc. So in between my experiences about restaurants and life, I'll be posting little by little regarding our months leading to delivering Kat. I do admit that it's difficult to go through the materials, but I know that it will help families out there. Part of what made the experience so difficult was the lack of information about CDH, and infant surgery, in general, in Asia and the Philippines. So I hope the entries I will write little by little, help you.

I mean, who else would be in the list that's more deserving? Ma

Families are Forever Mini Sessions

Image
My good friend in the industry, Michelle Morelos, will be migrating to Canada soon! Though we will miss her, we are happy for the new life she is about to begin in Vancity. Before she leaves, she will be  having mini photo sessions for families in an outdoor area in QC. For years I have seen her beautiful shots posted online (thru my clients), and I grabbed the opportunity to have a family photo shoot done by her. As you can see from the samples below, she's really amazing at what she does. We haven't had one done in years! If you're interested, you can reach her at michellemorelos@gmail.com .

My 30th. - Part 1

Image
This birthday celebration was definitely the best I've had in years. =D It started off the day before my actual birthday. On the afternoon of May 8, J and I trooped to SM Arena to watch Aerosmith, one of my favorite bands of ALL TIME. I don't seem like the type to love rock bands (and in fact, buying these tickets surprised some of my close friends), but Aerosmith is LOVE! My childhood default channel was MTV, so I love love love Aerosmith, Meatloaf, Bon Jovi! In addition to that, I love Guitar Hero, and I can rock the Aerosmith game like a pro. Well, maybe not, haha, but I love their albums! Last year, while I was on bedrest, American Idol would play almost every hour on Star World. Therefore, it was my default channel and show for the last few months of my pregnancy. Whenever I would feel sad about our situation, Steve Tyler's antics would make my day. Well, there was more to him than that. He was a great and funny job during that season too. Anyways,

SM Arena Ticketnet -- When You Lose Your Tickets

Image
I just wanted to share a great experience I had with SM Tickets / SM Arena. As I had mentioned in my previous pos t, I was not looking forward to celebrating my 30th Birthday. J, with much struggle , tried to find me other gifts, but I persuaded him to just get me the cheapest Aerosmith tickets available. I mean, what were the chances that Aerosmith was coming the eve of my birthday? They MUST be meant for me! The cheapest tickets were quite expensive at P2,600 each, considering they were GA, and he offered to buy more expensive ones. I didn't think it was practical though, since we had just paid a lot of money for tuitions in Woodrose and Zobel.  So he bought the GA tickets at Southmall, handed them over to me, and that was that. And then, I lost the tickets. That night, I was using a Cambridge satchel bag. I placed the tickets on the front pocket as soon as J handed it over to me. By the next day, the tickets had gone missing. Everything was inside the bag -- except the

I dragged J all over HK checking La Mer prices, and went home empty handed because the price was crazy! So imagine my laughter when I used his phone to send a text, and found this message. Hahahaha!!I really love my husband! Grabe Ang effort!!

The Best Thing I Ever Done

Ate at Ramen Yushoken again today. (Cheated on my diet!) There were some changes there this time. Gone was the paper menu, and it was replaced by a paper placemat menu with the brief story behind the restaurant and it's Ramen Gods, as well as FAQs regarding the dishes. INCREDIBLY HELPFUL. Part of the info printed on the placemat, you can view  HERE . I don't suggest taking the time to read it before ordering, just order the Tantanmen and an Aji Tamago (or two) and you're all set. Try not to order softdrinks, just drink the cold water they serve in silver kettles when you order. Then read while waiting for your food, or while eating. Word to the wise --- don't eat until you're full. Or you'll end up like us, with rapidly inflating tummies an hour after (the noodles expand after you eat it!) Big mistake. But, oh, the meal was perfections. I haven't tried the others such as Ukkokei and Wrong Ramen, but I can't imagine it getting any better than Yushoken

When You've Had A Bad Day

There are mostly good days, but today was a tough one. Oh May, I knew you'd be crappy.
