Now, I don't want to point out particular names for fear of being thrown rocks at, but, SERIOUSLY PHILIPPINES, SERIOUSLY??
Even the partial results of our local elections (Muntinlupa) makes me want to... sigh. Though when you look at the list, oo naman, if not them, who right? I mean, who else would be in the list that's more deserving? Maybe a handful. But THESE PEOPLE, do they have to be so DARN CLOSE TO THE TOP of the unofficial list? It takes more than a kind heart to be a senator, methinks. I'd really love it if all it takes was good intentions, but come on. That's like electing a janitor with a good heart to run Proctor and Gamble.
And did you know that prisoners voted too? I mean, not be mean or anything, I understand that we all have rights... but did this people make the right life decisions to begin with? It's pretty easy to 'persuade' prisoners to vote for particular people, don't you think?
This is just so disheartening. Good luck to us. Anyways, they've stopped counting the votes, and will start again tomorrow at 10AM. I really don't understand why, Comelec was so confusing today. Baguio doesn't matter, Baguio matters, failure of election, no such thing as a failure of election. ANO BA? Please refrain from speaking until you're sure! People are killed for votes, and you're saying these precincts don't matter? Even if they're just 30 people, if it costs you P5 million to fix the problem of the forwarder, fix it please! (Drama aside, they will naman. A little nakakainis lang the things blurted over the news.)
Arggggghhhhhhh. It might be a mean, or even elitist thing to say, but shouldn't people who have ITRs or pay taxes be the ones allowed to vote? The ONLY ones? Then wouldn't the votes make more sense?
Good night Philippines. May we wake up to more... practical results tomorrow.
