I'm sure everyone has blogged about Magnum Cafe at this point, but since I have photos, I decided to blog about it anyways!
A few weeks ago, because of my work, I was at SM Aura practically everyday. The day before Magnum Cafe was supposed to open, I was actually already there! Some social media posts led me to believe that Magnum was already up and running, but I guess that was just a soft launch for bloggers and celebrities. A few days later I was back for work at SM Aura with Just and our friend Aster, and of course I dragged them straight there!
AS everyone knows at this point, Magnum opened up a pop-up store in SM Aura that features Magnum ice cream to be used in different desserts. By pop-up, this store is meant to last for only a year. We love Magnum (not crazy obsessed with it, but like it enough to try every new one that comes along), so we really anticipated its opening1
Before entering Magnum, they ask you if you plan to sit-in, or just Make-Your-Own Magnum. Apparently, this has 2 different lines, and you need to wait if you want to sit inside the restaurant. Luckily there wasn't much people that day, and we were able to sit within minutes.

This is the line for "Make Your Own Magnum" |

Magnum's Menu of desserts. Very minimal, focusing on photos of their gorgeous desserts. |

Ready for dessert! |
As you can see from the area behind the boys, the restaurant is very spacious and large. I don't know who designed the place but it was very sleek and modern. Minimalist colors were used throughout the restaurant with very clever lighting fixtures.

Artful wall display. Upon closer look, the design was made using the M popsicle sticks! |

Zoomed out photo of wall design. |
We had no idea how big the serving sizes were, so we ordered a dessert each. The desserts were P350@, which is quite expensive considering it was just a dessert. (On a side-note, the restaurant would be serving food in the next few months, but at the moment all they had were desserts.) We would later find out that each dessert is meant to be shared, hehe.

Pink Friday for Aster, which he was able to finish on his own. |
Aster's dessert resembled a strawberry cheesecake with a halved Magnum bar. He said it was really good, and Justin said he finished it.

Death by chocolate (mine!) |
This was my dessert. It was DELICIOUS. It was a chocolate souffle with chocolate and brownie bits baked in, served warm. It had a Magnum Bar delicately served on top with powdered sugar. This was pretty big, considering how rich every bite was. It was ridiculously rich. I think 4-5 people could have shared this. I ate about half before rushing off to work.

Justin's Dessert, apologies I forgot the name but it resembled a giant cookie in pan |
I had a bite of this. My dessert was very soft, and his was more like a soft cookie with ice cream on top. Justin liked it, but also was not able to finish it.

Another view of my Death by Chocolate. |
I forgot to point out, my dessert came with milk, which mellowed down the richness of the souffle very nicely.
A week after, we were back! We tried the Make Your Own Magnum this time, since we were on a diet *ehem ehem*. Photos below of the available condiments/toppers. For P100 you can choose the flavor of the Magnum bar, the chocolate for covering the Magnum, and 3 toppers. As you can see, some of the options were quite unusual. I had queso de bola shavings, potato chips, and speculoos on mine. I somehow imagined it would taste like the chocolate covered potato chips by Royce, but I was sadly mistaken. I had the Magnum Gold chocolate as the cover, and somehow the combination of caramel with vanilla with salt didn't work out. Each element was delicious but I think I expected something else. Will definitely try this again but I will most likely have the more popular elements.

Dipping the bar in chocolate! |
Anyways, went here a 3rd time with friends (such a fan, haha!) and had Death by Chocolate Again.. on my own again. Needless to say, none of finished our desserts! It was really so so rich.
If you're planning to visit Magnum Pleasure Cafe and are concerned about the lines, try to go on weekdays. In all my visits, though, we never had to wait for more than 5 minutes to get inside. Their staff are pretty efficient and friendly.
