Hong Kong Photos

Our family loves Hong Kong! It's that one place we can go to very easily, and that we feel safe and comfortable in. I don't think we can ever get sick of it. Like what I said a few entries back, this was our first time in HK without the kids. We learned so many things and saw so many new places! Every time we're in HK, our mindset is making our kids happy, so we never bothered checking out places like Sasa, etc. We would just make several runs to Cotton On and H&M, but that was it! The rest of the time was dedicated to Disneyland, Ocean Terminal, museums, etc. (On a side note, our kids super love Muji, hehe.) We missed the kids so much that as soon as we landed, we just kept looking for things to bring home to them! I can't explain it, but our kids are fantastic travelers. I kid you not. They are awesome travel companions. Perhaps it's because of their age? They started travelling at 5, so they were old enough to walk and eat by themselves. They never threw t...

Upcoming 30th

My 30th birthday is coming up, and unfortunately, as I mentioned in a previous post, I am not looking forward to it. Just thinking about it brings back horrible memories of what happened on my birthday the year before. I can't even begin to explain how I dread it. (I don't dread turning 30, BTW. I would LOVE to leave my 20s behind!) I had told J straight-out that I did NOT want to celebrate this year (too soon?), but I would LOVE to watch the Aerosmith concert on May 8. I love Aerosmith with a PASSION. I have always told J that I can miss all concerts, but if Aerosmith comes around even in a nearby country, WE HAVE TO WATCH THEM! Kat must have sent them for me on the exact date I needed them, haha. Seriously. I don't like being reminded that the date is approaching near though, but dear J has been on my case about my birthday gift. See, here's the problem --- J is obsessed with getting me the ultimate gifts for my birthday and Christmas. He lives to see my shocked f...

Business Maker Academy

Image
A few weeks back, I took a day course at Business Maker Academy at Tektite. My cousins are currently taking their Entrepreneurship Masters at AIM-Ateneo, and listening to them I decided it was time for a refresher. I was also looking forward to learning new things, and this course, in particular, was about Professionalizing the Business (focusing on building an Operations Manual). This was something I wanted to look into, since I noticed that there were very few businesses in events and catering that had operations manuals, if any.  I only took 2 pictures, because I forgot to! That's how good our discussion was. It was an intimate class. Most of BMA's classes are more than 10 participants, but for this particular lesson we were just 4 (Justin was supposed to be the 5th, but he had to oversee an event.) I definitely learned a lot that day. Our teacher had a lot of interesting stories and anecdotes. Sometimes you think you've experienced a lot, but it's great he...

Holy Week

Image
I mentioned in a previous post that I would use my Holy Week Thursday to rest and blog, but sadly, I woke up on Wednesday with colds. We spent Tuesday in the heat, distributing and selling food at Montemaria at Tagaytay, and it got to us on Wednesday. I shoved it off because I still had a pile of paperwork to take care for for our events on Thursday, Saturday and Easter Sunday. But come Thursday, I SLEPT THE WHOLE DAY! =P Which I guess is for the best, because on Friday I had enough energy to... go back to work. Oh well. At least we were able to watch some DVDs! J watched the Breakfast Club for the very first time. In the end, he was like, "I don't get it". Hahahahha!
