Hong Kong Photos
Our family loves Hong Kong! It's that one place we can go to very easily, and that we feel safe and comfortable in. I don't think we can ever get sick of it. Like what I said a few entries back, this was our first time in HK without the kids. We learned so many things and saw so many new places! Every time we're in HK, our mindset is making our kids happy, so we never bothered checking out places like Sasa, etc. We would just make several runs to Cotton On and H&M, but that was it! The rest of the time was dedicated to Disneyland, Ocean Terminal, museums, etc. (On a side note, our kids super love Muji, hehe.)
We missed the kids so much that as soon as we landed, we just kept looking for things to bring home to them! I can't explain it, but our kids are fantastic travelers. I kid you not. They are awesome travel companions. Perhaps it's because of their age? They started travelling at 5, so they were old enough to walk and eat by themselves. They never threw tantrums... they're just awesome. We're lucky with that.
Without a doubt, we enjoyed the food the best! We go to HK to oink it out. We came home 8 pounds heavier!! Oh no!
World-renowned Laduree had just opened at Ocean Terminal. It was quite overrated, Bizu's was tastier if you ask me. Plus almost P120++ EACH MACARON? Crazy!
The foodcourt at Harbour City is our fave! Curry in a Hurry is my go-to for all my meals, plus the Hokkaido Ice cream on the same food court. Love love!
Here are more photos (and firsts) on our trip:
Our first time to go to the "Quiapo" of Hong Kong. What a learning experience! We were able to get contacts for shipping of equipment, and found beautiful equipment. (Which we made the mistake of lugging home by hand instead of taking a taxi, haha.)
After entering all the Sasas I could find (I LOVE SASA NOW!) I found this beside Cotton On in TST area. The Chinese were going crazy, and I wanted to find out why. When I stepped in, WOW! It's like all the Sasa stuff, only about 50-70% cheaper!
First time also in Sogo! I wasn't a big believer that Sogo had cheap stuff, but darn, the men's shoes were crazy cheap. Think 20-50% of the Philippine rates.
We spent several dinners in our room. Our last hotel (we like booking different hotels, to explore different areas) had a grocery on it's 1st floor. The strawberries were crazy big and cheap! Our best dinners were here, in our room, watching movies. (Saves a lot of money too!)
I get sad just looking at this. We go to HK for these specifically. Oh.... Hong Kong, I want to come back already!
It was our first time to make the trip to see the Buddhas! Definitely worth the hike!
It's really too bad it was foggy when we went there, so we couldn't get clear shots of the beautiful Buddha.
Our grocery had a WIDE selection of wines! Wow! We couldn't decide! Plus they were so cheap!
First time at Avenue of the Stars! I found Jet Li! (IT WAS FREEZING!)
Missing HK very badly now!
If I had a lot of money, I would seriously be there every month! We love HK!
