We were on the way to Army Navy (Alabang) when we spotted a new restaurant right beside it, Coco Hut! Peering inside, I saw it looked almost exactly like Army Navy, and thought it would be nice to try something new. Anyways, I was pretty sure that Army Navy owned it, so the taste would be more or less the same.

Open Kitchen |
I could be wrong, but I really think the company behind Army Navy owns the place too. Looking at the menu design and the equipment inside the kitchen, it was almost exactly the same in design!

Cute nipa-looking canopy |
The specialty of the place, obviously, was fried chicken and fish. For some reason, even with the name and design of the restaurant, I thought it was more of US style of frying fish and chicken, but the restaurant served items that were quite different. I think it's supposed to a Filipino restaurant but made into a cooler looking fast food concept.

Cute poster, hehehe! |

Simple benches and table setup. That's Mika reading beside our table (and Josh crouched down tying his laces) |

Long table and benches, perfect for barkadas and big families! |
As I've mentioned in previous posts, I am a HUGEEEEEE fan of iced tea. I can go a day without eating - but not without iced tea or milk tea or coffee . So I tried their freshly-brewed Tamaring Iced Tea (Regular P65, Large P75)

Would have used a different color for the font (OC much?) |
I don't know why, I was expecting this to be like the Iced Tea of Army Navy which I loveeeeeee. This was okay but a bit too... tangy? Just for me. But yes, it tasted like tamarind. So if you're into the sharp taste of tamarind, you'd like this. I think I'm just so used to lemon iced tea.

Cream Dory, P145 |
Since I was on a diet (=P) I opted to have deep friend fish. Yes, that's how I define diet, haha! It came with rice, coco squash soup, and 2 sauces (I don't know what they're called though. This was okay. If you like fish and chips, you'd probably like this. Simple, uncomplicated fish dish.

Laing (P45) |
This was what I meant that Cocohut served unconventional items that you don't usually find among fast food joints. They had Lain, Coco Langka, and Bamboo shoots for Vegetable dishes! We tried the laing, it was yummy. I think it goes well with the Cream Dory. And so cheap too, if you think about it!
This, I guess, would be the star of the restaurant - Their Fried Chicken. The price depends on the party you choose (ex, Breast is P85). The price isn't bad, considering it's a nice restaurant and all. I didn't have this by my kids said it was yummy.
It was a nice restaurant, and they served the food pretty quickly. I think I'd go back if I was craving for vegetables and chicken, but considering that Army Navy's right beside it, it may not be anytime soon (just because we love Army Navy, haha!) It's worth checking out though!
