Emergency Baptism at Makati Medical Center

One of the things we prayed for while expecting Kat was that she would make it long enough to be baptized. With these things, you don't know, sometimes it's just a few minutes, and they're gone. Thanks to our amazing doctors, she made it 1 day. During this time, Makati Med assisted us in our emergency baptism. We also got her Baptismal Certificate, eventually (you don't really need this, but anything that would remind me of her, I treasure.) J hunted down the priest of MMC though because he was busy making the rounds, praying with patients. But when he found the priest, they were able to do the baptism right away. I would suggest that you have this done, even if you're not super religious (points to self.) It gave me peace of mind that we were able to do that for her.

Baby Andres' Baptism

Two weeks ago, I had the honor of being the godmother to an AWESOME baby boy called Andres. Yes, he is named after the Bonifacio hero, he's THAT AWESOME. Andres is one of 'mah bebes', and he and I, we helped each other out (see post HERE .) He owes me a car when he's older. Anyways, though several minutes late because I came from a setup, I made it just in time for the last part of the baptism! It was a very intimate celebration, and the kids weren't with us. We enjoyed because we were able to catch up with my cousins.  Terry and Nico, Andres' parents, made a super cool larger-than-life standee of Andres as a Katipunero (hahahah) and also had pictures of him propped up on the tables as centerpieces and postcards. I took several home, and wrote on the back of some. One of the requests on the cards was to write something Andres SHOULD do when he's older, like, something fantastic during our time NOW.
